Home Network Overview

The home network will not separate the “business plane”, “management plane” and “data plane” like a regular virtualization platform. What home networks need is convenience, so the three planes mentioned above need to be integrated together to share the network in order to facilitate management. The security of the home network is also very important. No one wants the network door at home to be open to the outside world all the time.

Prepare hardware equipment

• Telecom optical modem (currently only Telecom broadband is possible, it is possible to access the public IP)
• Multi-network port industrial computer (soft routing, performance should not be too bad)
• Ordinary desktop or server (as long as it can be turned on 24/7)
• AC + AP (AC and AP need to be of the same brand. Considering that 5G WIFI wall penetration performance is extremely poor, it is recommended that each room be equipped with 1 5G AP)
• NAS (white or black skirt recommended)
• Network cable
• USB disk
• Laptop computer that can plug in a network cable (for network configuration)
