Gitalk Broken After Migration from Gridea to Hugo: Complete Troubleshooting and Fix Log

Background

After migrating the blog entirely from Gridea to Hugo, pages load normally, but the comment section Gitalk appears to be malfunctioning:

No obvious errors are reported on the page, but the comment section doesn’t load or display historical comments.
Historical articles are not associated with their original issues.

This article documents a complete troubleshooting and fix process for future reference when migrating similar sites.

Using Cloudflare to Build gh-proxy for GitHub Acceleration

In previous episodes, I’ve experimented with Qinglong Panel. However, when trying to pull GitHub repositories, you may encounter network issues leading to pull failures. Regular GitHub file downloads are also extremely slow. So I used the free Cloudflare to build gh-proxy for GitHub acceleration.

I. Prerequisites

You need to prepare a Cloudflare account and a domain name (optional) in advance. For free domains, you can refer to the previous article ‘免费申请注册eu.org二级域名’

Problem Description

I used to back up Node-RED flows by copying ~/.node-red/flows_xxx.json and keeping multiple versions. That was annoying, and even comparing unformatted JSON with tools like Beyond Compare was a mess.

Solution: Pretty-Print JSON

I found that by changing the setting in ~/.node-red/settings.js, the flows_xxx.json file can be saved in a pretty-printed format.
