Install Basic Network Tools
sudo apt install net-tools
Change the root Password to vm
Run sudo passwd and enter the current user’s password when prompted.
Press Enter, then the terminal will ask you to enter and confirm the new password. That becomes the new root password.
After that, run su root and enter the new root password.
Add Passwordless SSH Login
